Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients:
– 2 cups heavy cream
– 1 cup whole milk
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup pitted cherries, chopped
– 1/4 cup cherry preserves
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until sugar is dissolved.
2. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. In a small saucepan, heat the cherry preserves until melted and slightly thickened.
4. During the last few minutes of churning, slowly drizzle the cherry preserves into the ice cream to create swirls.
5. Add the chopped cherries during the last minute of churning for a burst of fresh cherry flavor.
6. Transfer the ice cream to a container, cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface, and freeze for at least 4 hours until set.
