Espresso Walnut Brownies

Ingredients:
– 1 cup (8 oz) unsalted butter
– 1 cup (6 oz) bittersweet chocolate, chopped
– 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
– 3 large eggs
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 tbsp instant espresso powder
– 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 cup (120g) walnuts, chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate together in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
3. Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and espresso powder until well combined.
4. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
5. Stir in chopped walnuts and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
7. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
