Impress your guests with this irresistible twist on Clams Casino that will have them saying “I do” to every bite!
Ingredients:
12 oz fresh clams, scrubbed
6 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup white wine
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 lemon, juiced
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
3. In the same skillet, add garlic and breadcrumbs. Cook until golden and crispy.
4. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cooked bacon. Remove from heat.
5. In a separate pan, heat white wine over medium-high heat. Add clams and cover. Cook until clams open, discarding any that remain closed.
6. Place opened clams on a baking sheet. Spoon breadcrumb mixture over each clam.
7. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until breadcrumbs are golden and clams are heated through.
8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper before serving.
