Strawberry Almond Galette
Enjoy the perfect combination of sweet strawberries and nutty almonds in this rustic and elegant galette!

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 2 tbsp cornstarch
– 1/4 cup almond flour
– 1/4 cup sliced almonds
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 store-bought pie crust
– 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
– 1 tbsp turbinado sugar (for sprinkling)

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, almond flour, sliced almonds, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
3. Roll out the pie crust on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the strawberry mixture into the center, leaving a 2-inch border.
4. Fold the edges of the crust over the filling, pleating as you go.
5. Brush the crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle turbinado sugar over the top.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
7. Let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
