Strawberry Chocolate Trifle
Indulge in layers of luscious strawberries, rich chocolate cake, and creamy custard in this heavenly dessert that’s a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds!
Ingredients:
– 12 oz chocolate cake, cubed
– 16 oz fresh strawberries, sliced
– 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
– 2 cups cold milk
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/4 cup powdered sugar
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Directions:
1. In a trifle dish, layer half of the chocolate cake cubes followed by a layer of sliced strawberries.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Pour half of the pudding over the strawberry layer.
3. Repeat the layers with the remaining chocolate cake, strawberries, and pudding.
4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread over the top layer of the trifle.
5. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
