Strawberry Fool
Indulge in this luscious and airy dessert that celebrates the sweetness of fresh strawberries in every bite!
Ingredients:
– 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/4 cup powdered sugar
– Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries with granulated sugar. Let them macerate for 20 minutes to release their juices.
2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
3. Gently fold half of the macerated strawberries into the whipped cream.
4. To assemble, layer the strawberry cream mixture with the remaining macerated strawberries in serving glasses.
5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
6. Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.
