Strawberry Macarons
These delicate strawberry macarons are a perfect blend of sweet and tart flavors, making them an irresistible treat for any occasion!

Ingredients:
– 3 large egg whites
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
– 1 cup almond flour
– 1/2 tsp strawberry extract
– Pink food coloring
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1/4 cup strawberry jam

Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
2. Sift together powdered sugar and almond flour. Gently fold into the egg white mixture until smooth.
3. Add strawberry extract and a few drops of pink food coloring. Mix until well combined.
4. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to form a skin.
5. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Bake the macarons for 15-18 minutes until set. Let them cool completely.
6. In a separate bowl, cream together butter, powdered sugar, and strawberry jam to make the filling.
7. Pair up the macaron shells based on size and spread the filling on one shell before sandwiching with another.
8. Refrigerate the macarons for at least 24 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
