Strawberry Mousse
Indulge in this light and airy strawberry mousse that’s bursting with fruity flavor and perfect for a delightful dessert!
Ingredients:
– 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– 1 1/2 tsp gelatin powder
– 2 cups heavy cream
– 1/4 cup powdered sugar
– Fresh strawberries, for garnish
Directions:
1. In a blender, puree the fresh strawberries until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds.
2. In a small bowl, mix the gelatin powder with 2 tbsp of water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
3. In a saucepan, combine the strawberry puree, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Heat over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
4. Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm strawberry mixture and stir until fully dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
5. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
6. Gently fold the cooled strawberry mixture into the whipped cream until well combined.
7. Divide the mousse into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
8. Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.
