Strawberry Scones
Indulge in these tender scones bursting with fresh strawberries, a perfect treat for a delightful morning or afternoon tea!

Ingredients:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/3 cup granulated sugar
– 1 tablespoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1 large egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
– 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar (for topping)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add cold butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into pea-sized pieces.
4. In a separate bowl, mix heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
5. Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
6. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
7. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and pat into an 8-inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges.
8. Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet, brush the tops with heavy cream, and sprinkle turbinado sugar on top.
9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the scones are golden brown.
10. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
